A very laid back and relaxing evening spent with Notts Tweetup , meeting at Another? Wine Bar , with a range of prominent local businesspeople and personalities from the world of Twitter. Some very enjoyable antipasti was the food offering this time round – salami going down particularly well with me on this occasion…

A snapshot of the vibrant and colourful murals which were produced during the recent Beeston Street Art Festival , organised by Jeanie Barton and the Beeston Civic Society through a successful crowdfunding campaign. Well executed urban street art really does a good job in making a town centre a more distinctive place to be with a unique character – and these murals did a great […]

A fascinating car park , with some interesting geometric forms in addition to the facade due to the supporting concrete beams – which I included in this image. I […]

As the lights come on – view back from Corporation Oaks , Nottingham , Jan 2017 About the image : I was looking for a general view of Elm Avenue , in the background and framing this up , when the lights suddenly turned on. Normally they glow white , but at low temperatures they threw off this wonderful green hues , which contrasted […]

Here’s the second part to my 2017 annual photographic review , the first part can be found here. 5/From the Big Wheel – Goose Fair ’17 Another technical challenge – I’d always fancied seeing if I could get aerial views of Goose Fair , and now with the D4 I had the gear to do so , from the top of a ferris wheel. […]

Here is the first part of my look back of 2017 photographically . From the top: 1/ – “Taking a Dip” – Old Market Square fountains – August 2017 In all truth , this came about as a bit of a torture test exploring the limits of a Nikon D4 with an ultrawide 14-24mm lens which I’d purchased two weeks prior! I’d spent quite […]
