Some takes of deer from Wollaton Park , Nottingham as the night closed in from  (February 2016) . The twilight atmosphere which came through upon editing really made these one of my favorite sets I’ve taken this year! It’s not often I get to look at wildlife but I was able to take advantage of a particularly good lens hire deal on the occasion.

As an aside the only clue that I had that the night was closing in fast was the fact that I had to keep bumping up the gain (ISO) on the camera. Particularly as I was using a longer , slower 80-400mm f/5.6 lens.  Your eyes are extremely good at adjusting to ambient light (incidentally why red night vision LED torches are useful).
