Just before my latest rowing assignment on Saturday I had a brief opportunity to take a look at some great street art being painted on the shutters of long-derelict units within Sneinton Market , Nottingham , currently undergoing regeneration. Prominent local graffiti artists were invited as part of the “Bloc Party” event hosted by Surface Gallery in Nottingham , which also included some fun music and a market along the way .

Didn’t spend a massive amount of time before I had to catch the taxi to Holme Pierrepont , but what I saw had a great vibe. I also got to catch up with Gav from Urban Shutterbug who’s done some interesting documentation of street artists across the UK – so looking forward to seeing what he makes of this!

A lovely reminder of the day Lamar. I’m loving your vivid capture of the colours on show. You also managed to get the elusive ‘spray’ shot. It was really nice to meet you, you have a great eye, keep it up!
